Three gear slot categories absent from most Plant Oracle guides. Jewels and the Mana on Kill stat in particular are flagged by Maxroll as the highest-leverage single upgrade available to the build.

Three distinct build configurations with different gear targets and passive tree investments. Standard is the league-start default. EB+MoM is the proper endgame configuration per Maxroll. Whispering Ice is a boss-fight weapon swap, not a full build variant.

Ascendancy order matters significantly. The engine (Forced Outcome) comes online at the second ascendancy — the build is intentionally weak before that point and fully activates after it.

⚠ FORCED OUTCOME TIMING
The build does not truly activate until Forced Outcome (2nd ascendancy, Act 3). Before that point it plays like a standard physical caster. Do not evaluate the build's damage potential during the campaign before Act 3 ascendancy — it will feel weak intentionally. After Forced Outcome, Cast on Critical fires Thunderstorm on every cast automatically and the full loop begins.

All Essence names confirmed from the Fextralife PoE2 wiki and Mobalytics guide (0.5.0). Lesser / Normal / Greater tiers upgrade Magic → Rare with guaranteed mod. Perfect tier replaces a random mod on an existing Rare. One Essence per item maximum in patch 0.5.

Standard currencies still have real crafting roles — they are not replaced by Essences and Runeforging, they are sequenced after them. The general rule: Essence → Desecrate/Omen → Exalt open slots → Divine to maximize rolls.

ℹ RELIABILITY NOTE
